Dr. Alex Aldape

Cuento con más de 14 años de experiencia en Medicina Reproductiva y soy miembro activo de la Sociedad Española de Fertilidad (SEF) y de la American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). Antes de trasladarme a Irlanda, completé mi formación especializada en el Hospital Universitari Vall d'Hebron y posteriormente trabajé en Barcelona en el Institut Marquès. Durante mi etapa en Institut Marquès, fui responsable de la gestión de la farmacia y codirigí los programas de donación nacionales e internacionales. Alcancé de forma consistente tasas de éxito elevadas (superiores al 50 %) en técnicas de reproducción asistida de alta complejidad, incluyendo FIV, ICSI, PGT-A y ciclos de ovodonación.

In 2017, I relocated to Ireland and started as Clinical Director at SIMS IVF Cork. I promoted the egg donation program without the need to travel abroad, with a pregnancy rate exceeding 60%. I also developed a new program for patients with low ovarian reserve following the POSEIDON group classification and pioneered DuoStim protocols in Ireland.

In 2020, I became Medical Director and Responsible Person at Repromed Galway, achieving not only high success rates with both low and high complexity techniques but also optimizing the time-to-treatment KPI and improving the success rate of fresh and frozen embryo transfers. I also led the transition from paper records to a "paperless clinic".

In 2022, I started at SIMS IVF as Clinical Director and then as Group Medical Director since April 2023, achieving significant leadership and commitment with the medical team by working on standardizing medical practices across the organization's 6 clinics/locations.
